ARDEN HILLS, Minn. - The Bethel women's soccer team came away with their second victory of the season after defeating Crown College on their home field, Ona Orth Athletic Complex. The Royals moved to 2-0 on the season.

Freshman Hannah Kvant put the Royals on the scoreboard early in the second half, scoring unassisted in the 48th minute.

Bethel out-shot Crown by a significant margin, 45 to 7. Over half of the Royals' attempts on goal came in the second half as their offense crashed down on the Polars' defense.

Senior Sonia Meyer snagged a sneaky goal in the 69th minute, flicking the ball over the goalkeeper's head and into the net off a pass from sophomore Hailey Bergan.

Junior goalkeeper Kate Green put on a lockdown performance in the net, keeping the Polars from finding their way onto the scoreboard, with five saves.

The Royals will return to Ona Orth again in search of a three-game win streak as they host Lake Forest College at 1 p.m. this Saturday.
