ST PAUL, Minn. - The Bethel women's soccer team fell to the Macalester College Scots in a nail-biting match, 1-0. Heading into the game, MAC was 2-1 in the MIAC, while BU was 1-2. The Royals have now moved to 3-3-2 (1-3).

How It Happened: 

• The Royals dominated the first half, posting 12 shots to the Scots' 1. 

• Of those 12 shots, six were threatening opportunities within close-range, and the Scots' defense were only just able to deflect them out of bounds or away from the net. 

• But, in the second half, MAC turned the tables on BU, putting up 8 shots to the Royals' 3. 

• Royal goalkeeper Kate Green, along with the Bethel defense, gave a valiant effort, holding the Scots' relentless pressure off until the 68th minute when they ultimately found the back of the Royals' net. 

What's Next: 

The Royals will take to their home field at Ona Orth Athletic Complex this Saturday in their homecoming match against fellow MIAC team, Hamline University. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m., just after the men's game.
