WINONA, Minn. - The Bethel women's soccer team suffered a loss to fellow MIAC team, the Saint Mary's University Cardinals, 2-0 on Saturday evening. The team moves to 3-4-2 overall and 1-4 in the conference.

Saint Mary's struck quickly with a high right shot securing their spot on the scoreboard in the third minute of the match.

Bethel fought back, battling for a goal of their own and posting 4 shots in the first half–the same as the Cardinals.

The Royals came out hard in the second half, peppering the Cardinals' defense with 14 shots throughout the period.

It was a tight, one-score game until Saint Mary's managed to sneak another goal past the Bethel defense, making it 2-0, Cardinals.
