NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The Bethel men's soccer team fell to the St. Olaf College Oles in a 6-1 loss during their first MIAC matchup of the season. The Royals moved to 2-2-0 (0-1-0) on the season.
How It Happened:

The Oles out shot the Royals, 18-6.

St. Olaf wasted no time, scoring in the third minute of play.

Bethel responded almost immediately, with sophomore Jordan Ross netting the Royals' a goal also in the third minute.

Nine minutes later, the Oles took the lead once again with a second goal, and a third goal in the 28th minute put them up, 3-1, at the half.

St. Olaf found the back of the next three more times in the 61st, 70th and 79th minutes of the game to secure the decisive 6-1 victory.

The Royals return to Arden Hills and Ona Orth Athletic Complex this Saturday, September 16, when they take on the St. Scholastica Saints in their second conference matchup of the season. Start time is slated for 1 p.m..
