RESULTS
ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Bethel Royals won 2 events and Kelsie Sealock ran the fastest 100m hurdle time in Division III this year at the Tomcat Invite on Friday evening.
Sealock raced to victory in the 100m hurdles with the fastest season opener of her career in a time of 13.98. This is the first time outside of the NCAA Championships that Sealock has broken the 14-second barrier.
Sealock teamed up with Jireh Babalola, Hannah King, and Sarah Stellmach to win the 4x100m relay. Their time of 48.83 is the top time in the MIAC this year.
Stellmach also provided a runner-up performance by running 12.48 in the 100m dash. Jessica Lilland opened up her outdoor campaign with a 2nd place finish in the pole vault. Lilland cleared 3.37m / 11'075", the 2nd best jump in the conference this year.
Hailey Gregg, fresh off her All-American performance on the 4x400m relay team this indoor season, took 3rd place in the 400m with a time of 59.78. Makenna Brown was 6th with a personal best time of 60.46.
Annessa Ihde worked her way through a stellar field of distance runners to finish 6th in the 1500m. Her time of 4:41.93 is a 9 second personal best, is the 5th fastest in program history and is currently ranked 37th in Division III.
In the field events, Emma Roethler led the way with a 4th place finish in the shot put with a toss of 12.53m / 41'1.5". Nora Wilhelm was 5th with a throw of 12.34m / 40'6". Ellie Hernes was 7th in the long jump with a MIAC leading leap of 5.14m / 16'10.5".
For the first time in program history, the Royals will host an outdoor meet on campus next Saturday, April 15th. Throwing events will begin at 9:00 AM, and running events at 11:00 AM at Royal Stadium.
