Women's Track Win 6 Events At Stout Quad

RESULTS

MENOMONIE, Wis. – The Bethel Royals won 6 event titles at the UW-Stout Quad on Friday evening. Bethel took home victories in the long jump, 60m, 200m, 400m, 800m, and 4x400m relay.

Annessa Ihde had the highlight performance of the meet as she powered her way to victory in the 800m run. Ihde controlled the race and closed hard to run 2:16.30 – the 11th fastest time in Division III this year.

The Royals swept the sprinting event titles in the highly competitive meet. Sarah Stellmach won the 60m dash in 7.83 seconds, her second fastest time this year. Kelsie Sealock won the 200m dash in a time of 26.41, an indoor personal best. Mikayla Turek won the 400m dash in a season best time of 59.26. That time ranks Turek 31st in Division III this season. At the end of the day, Stellmach, Hailey Gregg, Morgan Dean, and Ihde won the 4x400m relay convincingly in a time of 4:00.33.

Freshman Ellie Hernes won the long jump with a leap of 5.15m / 16'10.75". Hernes also was 7th in the 60m hurdles in a personal best time of 9.43 seconds.
Bethel had several other top performers on Friday night. Emma Roethler earned 2nd place in shot put with her throw of 13.04m / 42'9.75". Nora Wilheim took 4th place in the shot with a toss of 11.85m / 38'10.5".

AnnaGrace Nelson took 3rd place in her first triple jump competition of the season. Nelson jumped 10.60m / 34'9.5". Nelson also took 5th in the high jump with a clearance of 1.48m / 4'10.25". Jessica Lilland was 5th place in the pole vault, tying her season best mark of 3.41m / 11'2.25".

Hailey Gregg ran an indoor personal best in the 400m of 1:00.95 to earn 3rd place. Teammate Grace Robinson ran a gutsy race to take 4th in 1:01.05. Morgan Dean was 4th in the 200m dash in a time of 27.63. Anna Cargill ran an indoor personal best in the 800m of 2:24.46 to take 5th place.

The Royals will have a busy week with the team splitting at three different meets. Bethel will compete at the University of Minnesota and at UW-La Crosse on Friday, February 17th, and will host the Gene Glader Classic on Saturday, February 18th.
