ARDEN HILLS, Minn. - The Bethel men's soccer team dropped a single-score match to fellow MIAC team, the Hamline University Pipers, 1-0. BU's narrow loss gave the Pipers their first conference win of the season and moved the Royals to 1-3-1 in the MIAC and 3-5-1 overall. 

How It Happened:

• The Pipers struck early, capitalizing on a corner kick and scoring on a header in the 12th minute. 

• The Royals fought to find an equalizing goal, putting up 14 shots to the Pipers' 9, but couldn't find the back of the net. 

• The Hamline defense and goalkeeper shut down the Royals' offense in the second half and sealed their fate in the 1-0 loss. 

What's Next:

The Royals have a short turnaround time as they host a non-conference match against Bethany Lutheran College at Ona Orth Athletic Complex tomorrow - Thursday, October 5th. Kickoff is slated for 4 p.m..
