LINCOLN, Neb. – The Bethel men's soccer team suffered a decisive loss in a non-conference match versus Nebraska Wesleyan, 4-1. With one game left in the season, the Royals move to 4-8-4 overall.
How It Happened:
• Ten minutes into the match, NWU scored on a high shot into the upper lefthand corner of the goal from just outside of the 18-yard box.
• NWU added to their score at 20:04, but the Royals responded with a goal of their own at 20:41 when
Jordan Ross scored off of an assist from
Eli Duke. 2-1, NWU.
• But BU crashed into some issues early in the second half, unfortunately adding a tally to NWU's score column with an own-goal in the 57th minute.
• NWU increased the gap with a fourth and final goal in the 69th minute, making the end score 4-1, NWU.
What's Next:
The Royals will play their final game of the 2023 season tomorrow, Oct. 25, in Orange City, Iowa, where they will take on Northwestern College. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m.
