MAPLE GROVE, Minn. – For the second time in program history the Bethel University men's golf team claimed the MIAC Championship title, the first coming in 2014. The Royals carded a program-best 6-under-par 858 (285-282-291), the second-lowest 54-hole score in recorded MIAC Men's Golf history, winning the championship by 13 strokes over Saint John's. Concordia finished third with an 899.

Nick Cocalis and his squad punch their ticket to the 2024 NCAA Division III Championships on May 14-17, 2024 at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nev.
BU placed three on the All-Championship squad which is given to the top 10 individual finishers.
Jacob Hall finished second with a 212,
Conor Schubring carded a 213 for third and
David Morton placed fifth with a 215.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• BU led the field with 44 birdies while being first in par 3 and par 4 scoring.
• Hall was two over in the final round dropping one spot in a tight battle for the individual title. He was one shot back heading onto 18. He missed a birdie putt by the smallest margin taping in for par. He carded two birdies on the day bringing his tournament total to 13.
• Schubring shot his best round of the weekend with a two-under-par 70. He went even on the front nine and was even on the back nine until he logged back-to-back birdies to close the day.
• Morton shot a 73 with a solid two-under showing on the front nine including a birdie on the par-five 8th hole. A pair of double bogeys put him three over on the back nine, one of those being a two-shot penalty on 18 after his ball went in the water.

Will Karkoc narrowly missed out on the top 10 tying for 11th with a 223 while
Ian Stelter finished 16th with a 226.
