MAPLE GROVE, Minn. – The Bethel University men's golf team was one shot back of the lead, heading into round two of the MIAC Championships Sunday afternoon. The Royals delivered a program 18-hole low round of 282, six-under-par, moving up past Saint John's and into first. Through 36-holes, BU has built a nine-stroke lead carding a nine-under-par 567 (285-282). That mark was two strokes shy of SJU's conference record from the 2020 MIAC Championships.
Saint John's sits second with an even 576 while Concordia is third carding a 594.
The Royals first tee time is set for 9:40 a.m. on Monday, teeing off every 10 minutes after.

Jacob Hall stands atop the player's leaderboard holding a three-shot lead with a six-under-par 138 (70-68), the third lowest 36-hole total in MIAC men's golf championship history. He carded a career-low four-under-par 68 on Sunday behind six birdies, four of which came on the back nine. He had five birdies in round one.

David Morton shot a 74 in round one before climbing up 12 spots with a career-low 68 tying him for third with a 142. He carded five birdies on the day including one on the par-five 8th green.

Conor Schubring rounds out Bethel's top three sitting in fifth place with a 143. Three birdies in round one have in a one-under par 71 on day one while going an even 72 on day two.
