ARDEN HILLS, Minn. – The Bethel University women's soccer team dropped its final non-conference match of the year, defeated by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Blugolds, 3-0, Tuesday evening. The Royals fall to 3-6-2 on the season.
How It Happened
• The Blugolds burst onto the scoreboard in the fifth minute off of a tricky short corner kick and shot.
• Though the game got off to a tough start, the Royals dominated possession for the second half of the period, outshooting the Blugolds 9-6. BU goalkeeper
Abby Wright made several critical saves to preserve the halftime score at 1-0, Eau Claire.
• Though Bethel had gathered momentum by the end of the first half, it was Eau Claire that stormed into the second half on a mission, netting two additional goals in the 55th and 58th minute. They held the Royals to only four shots in the final 45 minutes and collected nine more of their own.

The Royals head home to Ona Orth Athletic Complex with no break as they take on fellow MIAC foe, Concordia, tomorrow, Wednesday, Oct. 18, at 3:30 p.m.
