ARDEN HILLS, Minn. – The Bethel men's soccer team secured their second MIAC win of the season and snapped an eight-match winless streak defeating Concordia College, 2-1, in their final home game of the season. The Royals move to 2-4-3 in the conference and 4-6-4 overall.
How It Happened
• The Royals took an early lead with Youssef Abdullah capitalizing on a pass from
Jordan Ross as he tipped the ball in from right in front of the Cobber net.
• Concordia came out hard in the second half, rocketing a shot past BU goalkeeper
Dylan Parkison from close range in the first minute of the period.
• But the Royals weren't done.
Ryan Swanda dropped a free kick right into the Cobber 18-yard box, where it went off a Cobbers' head and landed right at the foot of
Nathan Hunt who finished it to make it 2-1 Royals.
• Parkison played all 90 minutes in net collecting a season-high eight saves.
