Waverly, Iowa – The Bethel University volleyball team travel down to Waverly, Iowa to compete in two games on Friday evening. The Royals came away with two wins, beating Buena Vista 3-0 by scores of 25-20, 25-19, 25-22 and completing the night in a four set win to Wartburg 20-25, 25-16, 25-23, 25-19. Coach

• Bethel's defense dominated the game, holding Buena Vista to a .056 hitting percentage in three sets
• Set one consisted of four lead changes and six ties
• Main run of set one was by BU with the game score at 13-15 BV, the Royals would go on a 11-2 run to grasp control of the first set
• Set two's key run came from the Royals again, with BU up 17-16, they would go on a 8-3 run to take set two and a 2-0 lead in the game
• BU started out set three with a 10-3 run
• With the score at 15-8 BU, BV would go on a 7-2 run to close the gap to 15-17

• Set one consisted of defensive play with BU having a hitting percentage of .132 and Wartburg a .205 - leading to eight ties and six lead changes
• BU would take set two, thanks to an outrageous 12-1 run with BU down 13-14;
• Third set was once again a defensive match, with BU sporting a .188 hitting percentage to a .143 from WC; Wartburg tied the set at 10 all before the Royals would go on a 8-4 run to open up the lead and take set three.
• Royals dominated set four on both sides of the ball - boasting a .429 hitting percentage while holding the Knights to a .143.
• With a one point advantage for BU at 10-9, they would go on a 11-4 run, taking control of set four and game;
