MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The Bethel men's soccer team came to a 2-2 draw with Augsburg University–a team that has yet to lose within the conference–after making a comeback late in the game. The Royals move to 1-3-3 in the conference and 3-5-4 overall.
How It Happened:

Augsburg wasted no time, striking first by sending a quick pass behind BU goalkeeper Juan Valdivia Cortes and into the net. The score remained 1-0, Augsburg, for the remainder of the half.

The Royals, hungry for a goal, burst onto the scoreboard in the 67th minute on a free kick taken by Jordan Ross. Isaac Howell tapped the ball in from only a couple of yards away to seal the deal.

Just three minutes later, James Oberholtzer dribbled through multiple defenders and fired off a ground shot into the low right corner of the goal, making it 2-1, Royals.

But the Auggies proved to be formidable opponents, fighting until the final minutes of the game when they secured another goal on a quick, low shot, evening the score.
