MINNEAPOLIS – The Bethel University women's basketball team was held to a season-low points mark and turned it over 27 times while falling on the road at Augsburg, 59-40, Monday evening.

Augsburg (10-9, 7-9 MIAC) shot 47.9 percent for the night while Bethel (11-7, 11-4 MIAC) finished 31.9 percent. Three-point struggles continued for BU only knocking down five of its 23 attempts for a 21.7 percent mark.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half
• Bethel never led Monday evening having tied it twice in the first five minutes of the game. Â
• The Royals were held to two field goals and made no trips to the line trailing 11-5 after the opening quarter.
• The offense picked up steam in the second half bringing the deficit down to single digits.
Rosalie Penke knocked down a three with 2:35 to go making it 25-20.
• The Auggies responded with a three on the other end before
Anna Garfield beat the buzzer making it 28-23.

Second Half
• The Royals were held to a lone field goal in the first five minutes of the third quarter. But with 3:17 left in the quarter,
Colette Duininck knocked down a floater getting BU within 34-31.
• A 9-0 run by Augsburg to close the third put them back on top by 12. Â
• BU could not buy a three in the second half going 1-of-7 from long distance.
• Augsburg outscored the Royals 16-9 in the final period.

Courtney Nuest finished with a team-high 11 points.

Kendal Cox brought in a game-high nine rebounds.
