ROGERS, Minn. – The Bethel University women's tennis team concluded the regular season battling with Carleton but eventually falling, 6-3. The Royals qualified for the MIAC Playoffs yesterday in a win over St. Scholastica and received the fourth seed in the tournament following today's result.
BU will go into the postseason 10-10 overall and finished MIAC play with a 6-4 record. As the No. 4 seed, the Royals will host No. 5-seeded St. Olaf Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
The Royals went up 2-1 after doubles competition.
Grace Riermann and
Sydney Rott concluded the year 19-1 winning No. 1, 8-4.
Elise Bierbaum and
Ingrid Goldstrand picked up the other win 8-5.
Carleton got the comeback victory taking the No. 2 through No. 6 singles matches.
Grace Riermann picked up BU's lone singles victory 6-2, 7-5 as she finishes 19-1 on the year, 9-1 in MIAC matches.
