RESULTS
ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Royals won 3 events and took 6 of the top-10 spots in the 200m on Saturday evening at the Hamline Invite.
Sarah Stellmach had a stellar meet for the Royals. Stellmach won the 200m dash in a personal best time of 25.27. That time ranks as the 9
th best in Division III, and is the 3
rd best in program history. The Royals took 6 of the top 10 places in the 200m dash. Along with Stellmach's win,
Hannah Sankey took 3
rd (25.94),
Britta Nordberg took 5
th (26.30),
Jireh Babalola took 8
th (27.01),
Makenna Brown took 9
th (27.11), and
Hailey Gregg took 10
th (27.13).
Stellmach also had a personal best time of 12.11 in the 100m dash. That time placed her 2
nd overall and now ranks her 6
th in Division III and number 2 in program history. Babalola took 3
rd place in the same 100m race with a personal best time of 12.55.
Mikayla Turek took 6th place in the 400m hurdles with a season best time of 66.25. Turek teamed up with Gregg, Brown, and Ihde to win the 4x400m relay in 4:08.76.
The distance events were led by
Erika Swanson's victory in the 3000m steeplechase. Swanson ran a season best time of 12:11.46, winning by 15 seconds.
Josie Harms took 3
rd place in her first steeplechase race ever in a time of 12:35.42, while
Marissa Cutlan was 5
th in 13:19.57.
Annessa Ihde added another great finish for Bethel as she took 3
rd place in the 800m with a time of 2:20.02.
Emma Roethler was the top thrower for Bethel with her 4th place finish in the shot put throwing 12.60m / 41'4.25". Lexi Ellinghuysen threw a personal best in the hammer to take 8th place. Her toss of 40.83m / 133'11" is the 4th best throw in program history.
Jessica Lilland placed 3rd overall in the pole vault on a windy evening with a clearance of 3.24m / 10'7.5". Grace Perrenound was 5th in the triple jump with a leap of 10.63m / 34'10.5", while
AnnaGrace Nelson was 7th with a jump of 10.23m / 33'8".
The Royals continue their outdoor season next week at UW-River Falls on Saturday, April 9
th.
