ORLANDO, Fla. – The Bethel University women's tennis team battled to the end but was narrowly defeated by Springfield College, 5-4, Monday morning at the USTA Training Center.
Grace Riermann and
Sydney Rott improved to 9-0 earning BU's lone doubles point 8-2.
Riermann stayed unbeaten in singles play not dropping a game while Rott got back in the win column at No. 2 singles 6-1, 6-4.
Cady Peterson moves her winning streak to a pair at No. 6 singles. Taking the opening set in a tiebreaker, her opponent then forced a super tiebreaker where Peterson prevailed 10-7.
The Royals, now 4-5 on the year, look to snap a three-match losing skid Monday morning against Transylvania at 9 a.m. EST.
