NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The Royals opened up competition in the MIAC Championships on Thursday with day 1 of the men's heptathlon and the women's pentathlon. The men have an opportunity to do something that has never been done at Bethel - score multiple athletes in the multi-event. Three Royals are in scoring position after day 1:

- Shot Put - 10.50m / 34'5.5" (516 pts.)
- High Jump - 1.94m / 6'4.25" (749 pts.)
- Trevor Wellman - 6th, 2253 pts.
- 55m - 6.98 (713 pts.)
- Long Jump - 5.34m / 17'6.25" (449 pts.)
- Shot Put - 11.42m / 37'5.75" (571 pts.)
- High Jump - 1.67m / 5'5.75" (520 pts)
- Abe Schlegel - 8th, 2214 pts.
