ROGERS, Minn. - Not dropping a single set, the Bethel University women's tennis team rolled to a 9-0 victory over Wisconsin-Superior Saturday afternoon inside the Rogers Tennis Center.
The Royals took all three doubles matches by an identical 8-1 score. In singles play, both
Grace Riermann (No. 1) and
Emma Thole (No. 5) won their matches having not dropped a set.
Bethel celebrated Riermann surpassing the 100 career win mark, adding to her already decorated career.
At No. 6 singles, junior
Macy Voss had impressive comeback efforts. In both sets set she rallied from down 2-3 winning it 6-4 in set one and 6-3 in set two.
The Royals open up MIAC play next Friday, Feb. 18 against St. Olaf. The match is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at the West Hills Tennis and Fitness Center in Owatonna, Minn.
