HANCOCK, Mich. – The Bethel University men's hockey team came out fast and furious at Finlandia University taking the series finale with an 8-2 win. A six-goal first period paced the Royals to score eight goals for the second night in a row.
HOW IT HAPPENED
•
Spencer Kring wasted no time getting BU on the board scoring 34 seconds into the game.
•
Logan Anderson was not short behind scoring 37 seconds later giving BU a 2-0 advantage less than 90 seconds into the game.
•
Braeden Bartoo got in on the action with the Royals first power play goal of the night that was assisted by
Ben Ward and
Dane Stoyanoff at 13:39. Bartoo would add a second goal at the 18:13 mark of the period.

Ben Ward and
Justin Kelley tallied the Royals final two goals of the opening 20 minutes.
• A more quiet second period saw freshman forward
Luke French tally his first collegiate goal.
• Finlanda answered back with just under five minutes left in the third refusing Bethel the shutout.
• Adding BU's second power play goal of the night was
Sam Wilhite at the 17:40 mark of the third.
• The Royals penalty kill was a perfect 6-for-6 including five in the second period alone.
• BU outshot the Lions 43-13.
