OSHKOSH, Wis. – The Bethel University women's soccer team couldn't overcome a three-goal halftime deficit Monday afternoon. The Royals dropped their first contest of the year to Wisconsin-Oshkosh on the road, 4-0.
Just over nine minutes into the contest UW-Oshkosh (3-0) broke the scoreless tie getting past the Bethel (1-0) back line. 10 minutes later the Titans scored extending their lead to two, before making it 3-0 in 26th minute. he Titans final goal came in the 69th minute.
BU took six shots in the first half comparted to the Titans 14. Bethel was outshot for the match 24-8 with one lone shot on goal. Despite that one shot, BU had its chances but couldn't find the frame.
The Royals look to bounce back Saturday at Ona Orth hosting Whitworth at 1 p.m.
