Riermann’s Historic Run Ends in National Semis

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Historic. The only word fitting to describe Grace Riermann and Maggie Riermann's run through the NCAA Women's Tennis Division III Doubles Championships. BU's prominent doubles duo fell in the national semifinals 6-0, 6-1 against top-seeded and eventual national champions Katie Chang and Ysabel Gonzalez-Rico of Emory.

The now three-time All-Americans in doubles play, while Grace became a four-time All-American earning the honor in singles play this weekend, have won a combined 50-plus doubles matches including two ITA Midwest Region titles.

Closing out a four-year career in the Navy and Vegas Gold, Maggie departs the Royals program as part of the 100-career wins club, a three-time All-American and a three-time All-MIAC honoree. Academically she was a two-time Academic All-Conference, Elite 22 Award winner in 2019 and was CoSIDA Academic All-District in 2020.
