STARTING FIVE
1) Bethel looks to snap its two-game losing skid Monday evening inside the Robertson Center hosting Concordia at 7 p.m. in its second game in three days. Bethel closes out the week Saturday traveling to Saint John's. Over the last five seasons Bethel has posted a 38-18 (.679) in Arden Hills.
2) Jaren Tschetter entered his senior season having scored no points and only appearing in two games. But the Eagan, Minn. native is putting everyone on notice averaging 10.8 points in four games. On Saturday he exploded for a career-high 19 points and eight rebounds going 7-of-12 from the field and hitting four treys.
3) Freshman
Joey Kidder played every minute of Saturday's contest against Saint Mary's. The New Richmond, Wis. native is second in the nation and MIAC leader in minutes per game at 38.4. Kidder has made his presence known on the defensive end with a team-leading five steals and 6.3 rebounding average. Kidder was the first freshman since Derek Magnuson (2015-19) to start in his collegiate debut and start in every game since then.
4) Isaiah Carver-Bagley has found a rhythm from behind the arc shooting 44.4 percent from long distance. Averaging four threes a game, which ranks sixth nationally and third in the conference, Carver-Bagley has a team- and conference-leading 16 trifectas. For just the second time in his career he cashed in on seven threes against Augsburg on Feb. 11, bring his career 3-point shooting percentage to 40.7 percent.
5) Leading the all-time series 60-31, BU is looking for its eighth straight win over Concordia. The Royals swept last year's series winning the opener 73-63 in Arden Hills despite early first half offensive struggles. In the most previous meeting, BU dominated the Cobbers on their own court, 72-53, thanks to a 23-point performance from
Isaiah Carver-Bagley which was a career-high at the time. Bethel is 35-10 at home against Concordia.
