Women’s Soccer Suffers Overtime Loss on Senior Day

ARDEN HILLS, Minn. – The Bethel University women's soccer team suffered its seventh straight loss and second straight in overtime falling to Concordia at home on senior day, 1-0.

The Cobbers captured the victory scoring in the 95th minute with pin point accuracy finding the upper 90 on the back post with a shot that went over the hands of a leaping Megan Duff.

Both teams had limited opportunities at shots on frame in the first half. Duff, the senior goalkeeper making her first start of the year, kept it a scoreless tie going into break after challenge a Concordia forward make a big save with under a minute to go.

Everything was even after 90 minutes of play, with both teams tallying 13 shots and neither finding the back of the net. Both goalkeepers highlighted regulation play where Duff collected five saves, the Royals defense accounted for two team saves and the Concordia keeper eight.

The Royals conclude the regular season Saturday at Augsburg beginning at 1 p.m.
