MINNEAPOLIS – The Bethel University women's soccer team saw its 2021 campaign come to a close Saturday afternoon after surrendering a pair of second half goals at Augsburg falling 3-1.
Bethel was outshot in the contest 13-9 and 9-6 in shots on frame.
The host Auggies scored nearly 12 minutes into the contest before
Rachel Waterman netted the equalizer in the 23rd minute.
Out of the break, Augsburg broke the tie in the 47th minute until expanding the advantage to two with a goal in the 62nd minute.
BU had two of its four corner kick opportunities in the second half to go along with its ix shots but were not able to put a tally on the scoreboard.
The Royals finish the year 5-12 overall and 3-8 in MIAC play.
