ARDEN HILLS, Minn.- The Bethel University women's soccer team was kept off the the scoreboard falling to the MIAC's newest competitor, College of St. Scholatica, Saturday at Ona Orth Athletic Complex.

On the stats sheet, Bethel outshot the competition 29-17, but lost the shots on goal battle narrowly 11-10.

Wet playing conditions with a light drizzle added to scoreless tie at the break putting Bethel in a good spot while outshooting the Saints 13-9 in the first 45 minutes. On the defensive side of things, the Royals held strong as Izzy Smith had six of her 10 saves come in the first half.

The Saints broke the scoreless tie in the 47th minute with the one and only goal of the competition.

BU had its chances to tie, outshooting the Saints 16-8 in the second half, but a tip of the cap to the Saints goalkeeper who made five saves during that stretch.
