ARDEN HILLS, Minn. – For the second time this month junior forward
Isaiah Carver-Bagley had himself a career-high performance dropping 25 points in the 70-54 win for the Bethel University men's basketball team over Carleton Wednesday evening.
The win snaps a two-game losing skid for the Royals who are now 11-6 on the year and 8-4 in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play. Bethel hits the road on Saturday taking on Hamline at 1 p.m.
Carver-Bagley had a second half breakout where 18 of his points came. He was two rebounds shy of a double-double and one shy of his career-high with eight. Senior guard
Hudson Urbanus chipped in 16 points while
Chandler Wellman had 10 points and seven rebounds, six of which came on the offensive end.
Tied at 18 after the opening 11 minutes, Bethel went on a 14-2 run taking its first lead of the contest. A back door layup by

Jamal Davis sent the Royals into the locker room with a 34-25 advantage.
The Royals came out hot in the second half opening up on a 13-0 run. Wellman's only three of the game at the 7:07 mark gave Bethel its largest lead of the contest at 60-35. Five of BU's 12 makes in the second half came from behind the arc where they shot 43.5 percent (10-of-23) for the evening.
Only committing seven turnovers themselves, Bethel turned Carleton's 12 turnovers into 15 points and held the Knights to 37.7 percent (23-of-61) from the field.
Jeremy Beckler was Carleton's leading scorer with 18 points while no other player had more than eight.
