No. 8 Bethel Football Back in Action at Gustavus

ARDEN HILLS, Minn. - The No. 8-ranked Bethel University football team returns to action on Saturday coming off their bye week as they head to St. Peter, Minnesota to take on (RV) Gustavus Adolphus College. Kickoff from Hollingsworth Field on the Gustavus campus is slated for 1 p.m. Bethel enters the contest with a 2-0 record after impressive non-conference victories over Simpson College (42-10) and UW-River Falls (38-20) while Gustavus is 2-1 after a pair of non-conference wins and most recently a tough loss at No. 4 Saint John's (33-21) in their MIAC opener. Bethel has won the last ten matchups with the Golden Gusties who are coached by 1991 Bethel graduate Peter Haugen, in his 11th season as the GAC head coach. Bethel holds a 25-17 all-time advantage in the series with Gustavus that dates back to 1978, despite the Gusties winning the first 12 matchups.
