The No. 9-ranked Bethel University football team is headed up to Moorhead, Minnesota for a clash with the Concordia College Cobbers Saturday afternoon. Kickoff is at 1 p.m. from Jake Christiansen Stadium. The Royals own a 7-3 record over the past ten games against the Cobbers but have not won in Moorhead since 2013, falling on the road to the Cobbers in 2015 and 2017. Bethel defeated Concordia 41-13 last season in Arden Hills. Concordia has faced one of the toughest schedules in the nation thus far as they sport a 2-4 record. The losses have come against WIAC powerhouses UW-LaCrosse (21-14) and UW-Whitewater (20-10) and MIAC contenders St. Thomas (51-6) and Gustavus (35-28). The Cobbers victories came in shutout fashion of 48-0 and 51-0 against Augsburg and Hamline. Concordia is coming off of their bye week after a crushing defeat on Homecoming to Gustavus. The Cobbers jumped out early to a 14-0 lead and then led 28-27 after scoring with just 1:09 remaining in the game but the Gusties completed a 78-yard touchdown pass with just 14 seconds remaining to win the game. Bethel is coming off an impressive performance against previously unbeaten St. Olaf, scoring 49 points in the second and third quarters, to defeat the Oles 56-10.

Royal Road Trip Information
For fans headed to Moorhead on Saturday tickets can be purchased at Jake Christiansen Stadium at $7 for adults and $4 for students through college age. The stadium is located on the east side of 8th street on the south side of the Concordia campus. Concordia College is just off I-94 at Moorhead's Exit 1. Head north for a few blocks on Highway 75, also labeled 8th Street, and the stadium with adjacent parking lots will be on the right at the corner of 8th St & 16th Ave S. Concordia College students are on fall break this weekend.
