ARDEN HILLS, Minn. - The No. 10 Bethel University Royals football team returns home on Saturday to take on another undefeated opponent in the St. Olaf College Oles. For the second straight year the Royals and Oles hook up in week seven with Bethel coming off their first loss of the season against No. 4 Saint John's and the Oles coming off their bye week after winning their first five games. In 2018 the Royals traveled to Northfield and handed the Oles their first loss, 35-7. Kickoff will be at 1 p.m. at Royal Stadium.
Saturday's matchup will be Bethel's annual Tackle Cancer game, an initiative started by the Minnesota Football Coaches Association (MFCA) that supports the Randy Shaver Cancer Research and Community Fund. Fans can bring a donation to the game and place in collection pails located at the program tables before, during or after the game. Fans can also Venmo their donation at any time at Bethel Royals@tacklecancer. Bethel assistant coach
Larry Herm is heading up Bethel's efforts for the Tackle Cancer game once again as Herm has first hand knowledge of the impact that Tackle Cancer games and the Randy Shaver Cancer Research and Community Fund has had. Watch coach Herm's remarkable story, as profiled in September on KARE 11,
