ARDEN HILLS, Minn.—The incoming football class for the 2018 season is now complete. The talented group of 41 newcomers hail from 11 states. The 38 freshmen and three transfers, along with all upperclassmen, will report for camp on Friday, August 10 with their first game slated for Saturday, September 1 when they travel to Indianola, IA to face Simpson College.

"Our staff has worked tirelessly in the recruiting process and has done a great job seeking, identifying, and vetting young men who fit the DNA of what it means to be a Bethel football player," said Steve Johnson, who enters his 30th year as head coach in 2018. "Along with our recruiting, we redefined the expectations and standards of a Bethel football player in the weight room, in the Bethel community, and in the classroom."

The Royals will field the most experienced team in program history this fall. Nearly every starter is back on offense, including junior Jake Marsh, who returns for his third year under center and a terrific group of wide receivers and running backs. Bethel's defense returns great size, athleticism, and experience in the secondary. That will allow the defensive front to get after the quarterback and opposing ball carriers. Seniors Dawson Brown (SS), Kyle Kilgore (DE), Trey Anderson (CB), and Drew Ragsdale (LB) are all key leaders among this talented group.
