ARDEN HILLS, Minn.—Bethel University's women's tennis team received some exciting news earlier this week as the Royals were ranked No. 18 in the Oracle / ITA Division III Central Region rankings. This prestigious recognition, which comes after a 9-2 start to the season, marks the first time in program history that BU has received a region ranking.
 
The Royals defeated both Augustana College and Coe College last Saturday, which proved to be pivotal wins as the Vikings are right behind BU at No. 19 and the Kohawks have both a singles player and a doubles team ranked in the region's Top 25.
 
Bethel's road ahead includes a contest at the University of Northwestern-St. Paul on Wednesday, April 4 at 4 p.m., followed by a huge home affair against Carleton College on Saturday, April 7 at 2 p.m. The Knights are ranked No. 8 in the Midwest region and were preseason favorites in the conference's preseason coaches' poll.
