Ogne's Early Goal Enough to Beat Eagles, 1-0

ROSEVILLE, Minn. - The Bethel University women's soccer team put up a record 15 goals in their previous game to get a victory and Thursday night they needed just one goal to get another win, a 1-0 decision at the University of Northwestern. The Royals struck early with Brooke Ogne scoring less than ten minutes into the first half. Bethel dominated possession of the ball, firing off 28 shots to just nine for UNW, but were unable to score again. Kaylee Peterson made five saves in goal for the Royals for the second straight shutout victory.

Ogne's goal was assisted by Sydney Wight. Ogne led the Royals offense with three shots on goal and five shots total. Bethel held a 9-4 advantage in corner kicks.

The Royals next action will be Sunday at Northland College in Ashland, Wisconsin.
