ST. PAUL — Bethel's volleyball team continued their recent hot streak with a sweep over Hamline University Wednesday evening. The Royals (11-2, 3-1 MIAC), who have won four straight and three consecutive against conference opponents, upended the Pipers (3-14, 0-4 MIAC) by final scores of 25-20, 25-14, and 25-18 in HU's Hutton Arena.

BU led 8-2 early in the first and 18-8 later before closing out the opening set with a 25-20 triumph. Â A dominant performance in the first propelled the Royals to a 16-4 lead in the second. That 12-point cushion led to a 25-14 victory in the frame. Bethel then led 19-8 in the third before Hamline put together a late 9-4 run that made the final tally of 25-18.

Fresh off her second MIAC Volleyball Hitter of the Week recognition this season,
Kristin Stern posted a match-high 14 kills in 26 attempts (.346).
Tina Hoppe also finished with double-digit kills (10), double-digit digs (10), and a .241 hitting percentage. Brook Olstad recorded nine kills, 11 digs, and an astounding .409 hitting mark.

Mikayla Morrow tallied a season-best 36 assists, along with eight digs, while
Dominique Dabu finished with 15 digs.
Rylee Forshee was right behind Dabu with 14 digs.

Bethel's next match is Saturday, September 30 in Northfield, where the Royals take on the Oles from St. Olaf College. First serve between BU and STO is scheduled for 3 p.m.
