Royals Sweep 400-Meter Dash at St. John's


RESULTS | DECATHLON RESULTS

COLLEGEVILLE, Minn.—Karl Olsen ran a personal best in the 400-meter dash, leading a 1-2-3 Bethel finish at the St. Ben's/St. John's Outdoor Invitational Saturday. Evan Hatton broke the 50-second barrier for the first time in the runner-up position, crossing the line in a time of 49.99. Shawn Monroe ran 50.01 for third.

Olsen's time is the fastest 400 meters in the MIAC this season. Hatton currently ranks fourth in the conference and Monroe, fifth.

The men's 4x100-meter relay of Olsen, Peter Erickson, Patrick Klamm and Isaac Erickson topped the field with a MIAC-leading time of 42.57.

James Moyer won the decathlon competition, scoring 5,786 points

Connor Haugen finished third in the 1,500-meter run in a time of 4:09.27.
