RESULTS

LA CROSSE, Wis.—The Royals recorded two wins at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse's Phil Esten Challenge Friday night. Delia Labatt won the 400-meter dash and Annika Halverson crossed the line first in the 1,500-meter run.

Labatt used an aggressive first 200 meters to build a sizeable lead on the field, then maintained the advantage to the finish, crossing in a time of 56.48. That time ranks the freshman 11th nationally, first in the MIAC and makes her the second-fastest performer in Bethel history.

Halverson got the win in the 1,500m thanks to a strong final 200 meters. Her time of 4:39.21 is the top time in the MIAC this season.

In the 800 meters, Sara Wegner finished third, running 2:16.47.
