Bethel Dominates Martin Luther 3-0

ARDEN HILLS, Minn. - The Bethel University women's soccer team turned in a complete performance Monday afternoon in their final non-conference action of the year, beating Martin Luther College 3-0. The Royals scored all three goals in the first half, two by Karlie Perkins. The Royals outshot the Knights a staggering 32-1, which marks the fourth time this year the Royals have held an opponent to one shot or less in a game.

Karlie Perkins scored the first Bethel goal just five minutes into the game with an assist by Sydney Wight. Maggie Sipe then put the Royals up 2-0 with a goal just over a minute after Perkins score. The Royals next score came in the 28th minute with Perkins converting again with assists from Kenzie Boozikee and Becca Brubaker. Bethel outshot the Knights 17-0 in the first half and then 14-1 in the second half but were unable to score again, leaving the final score at 3-0.

The Royals (8-6-2, 3-5-1) now turn their attention back to MIAC play as they prepare for their final two regular season games this week. Wednesday the Royals travel to Moorhead, Minnesota to take on Concordia College before returning home for the season finale against the University of St. Thomas on Saturday.
