Bethel Travels to St. Peter for Showdown with Gustavus
ARDEN HILLS, Minn. — Bethel University's football team travels to St. Peter, Minn., Saturday for a 1 p.m. tilt with Gustavus Adolphus College. Saturday's contest is the 40th meeting between these two opponents. Bethel holds a 22-17 advantage over Gustavus thanks to a 15-2 record since the turn of the century. The Gusties' last win over the Royals came in 2008 when GAC defeated BU in Arden Hills by a final score of 17-10. Bethel has scored 30 points or more in seven of the eight games following that loss.

Bethel defeated Gustavus 32-17 in last year's matchup thanks to a 32-3 lead in the opening 30 minutes. Jake Marsh threw for 214 yards and one touchdown on 16-of-24 passing and ran for 62 yards on five carries. Dawson Brown led BU on defense with 13 tackles, one interception, and two pass breakups. Brett Norling also recorded an interception.Â
