ARDEN HILLS, Minn. - The Bethel Royals fell to the College of Saint Benedict Blazers 2-0 on Saturday at the Ona Orth Athletic Complex. The Blazers scored one goal in the first half and one in the second half to preserve their victory over the Royals.
The first goal came in the 37
th minute when Sydney Sherek scored on a nice pass from Samantha Schorzman. In the 48
th minute the added on to their 1-0 lead and scored a goal on a great individual effort by Jenna Kleason who scored on a free kick.
The Royals were outshot 14-6 and
Kaylee Peterson had 5 saves in net for the Royals to keep them in the game but Bethel could not get anything in the back of the net.
Next the Royals travel to Gustavus on Saturday, October 7th. The will return home Tuesday, October 10th where they will host Hamline with kickoff for that game at 4 p.m.
