ARDEN HILLS, Minn. –  The Bethel women have won every home game at their Ona Orth Athletic Complex so far this season. In the last four home games, a composite of 18 goals have been scored against the opposing teams with today's game providing a 5-0 victory against the University of Northwestern – St. Paul.

With only one shot on the goal made by Northwestern, freshman goalies Dylan Melby and Kaylee Peterson were able to have a lighter game.

As Bethel successfully kept the ball away from their end of the field the majority of the game, freshman Maria Retting was able to lead the team to their first goal, her second goal of the season, at 28 minutes with an assist by sophomore Marnie Zilka. Freshman Alicia Halikas quickly scored the second goal of the night with a long-range shot outside the penalty box only four minutes after Zilka.

Senior Mikayla Nordin now has a total of four goals this year as she scored the third goal of the game, followed by senior forward Mikala Smith who made her first goal of her final season as a Royal. Zilka made another goal as she scored on a penalty kick a little after the beginning of the second half of the game. The score stayed at 5-0 for the rest of the half, the Royals being able to hold off the Eagles through the end of the game.
