EU CLAIRE, Wis.—Bethel University's volleyball team suffered their third loss of the season Friday evening at the Nike Eastbay Fall Classic. Handing the Royals (8-3, 0-1 MIAC) a 3-0 setback was tournament host (RV) UW-Eau Claire. The Blugolds took advantage of an injury-riddled BU squad and won by a final score of 25-20, 25-16, and 25-16.

Bethel amassed 34 points throughout the three games played on 28 kills, one ace, and five blocks.
Carlee Hoppe led the team with nine kills and two errors on 15 attempts for a .467 hitting percentage, while
Tina Hoppe added five kills, three digs, and two block assists.

Holly Ellwanger paced BU from the setter position, as she posted 13 assists and two digs, while
Katie Lubben finished with 10 assists and seven digs.
Callie Sinclair also recorded a team-high seven digs.

The Royals will try to rebound quickly, as they return to UW-Eau Claire tomorrow to face St. Norbert College and UW-Stout. BU takes on the Green Knights at noon and the Blue Devils at 2 p.m.
