Week 6 Preview: Bethel Looks to Bounce Back with Road Test at Carleton

ARDEN HILLS, Minn.—Bethel University's football team travels to Northfield, Minn., this weekend for a road test against conference opponent, Carleton College. The Royals (1-4, 1-2 MIAC) and Knights (1-4, 1-2 MIAC) both come in with similar records after BU fell to Saint John's 27-42 last weekend and Carleton defeated Hamline 34-31 on a game-ending field goal.

Saturday's meeting between the Royals and Knights marks the 33rd contest between these two foes. Bethel has had the upper hand since the two teams first met in 1983 as BU has gone 22-10 overall with a 20-2 record since the 1994 season. Carleton's two wins during the last 22 years were a pair of 17-14 stunners in 2006 and 2008.

Despite heavy rainfall in Northfield in the past several weeks, kickoff between the Knights and Royals is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Laird Stadium.
