NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Bethel University women's soccer team fell on the road to St. Olaf College by a 3-0 score in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opener Tuesday afternoon. The Oles scored once in the first half and twice in the second and turned away Bethel's only two shots on goal for the victory.
Lydia Brubaker had both of the shots on goal for Bethel.
The loss drops the Royals to 2-3 overall and 0-1 in MIAC play while the Oles improved to 1-2-2 and 1-0. Next up for Bethel is a home match with the University of St. Thomas on Saturday afternoon. The match will begin at 3:30 p.m. following the completion of the men's contest prior to the women at 1 p.m. The last time the Tommies came to Arden Hills, the Royals pulled off a 1-0 overtime victory in 2013.
