Box Score ST. PETER, Minn.—Bethel University dropped its second straight contest of the season Wednesday evening in St. Peter to Gustavus Adolphus College by a final score of 63-71. The Royals (3-4, 1-2 MIAC) outscored the Golden Gusties (5-2, 2-1 MIAC) 41-36 in the second half, but still fell short in the end by eight points.

The Royals trailed 42-59 at the start of the fourth quarter, but trimmed the gap to five with 5:36 left in the quarter. Gustavus heightened their advantage to 10 and never looked back down the stretch.

Bethel dominated the Gusties inside, outscoring Gustavus 36-22, but 21 turnovers proved to be costly down the stretch.

Molly O'Toole put forth a magnificent effort, as the sophomore forward contributed 16 points, eight rebounds, and three steals in 32 minutes played.

Hannah Johnson each poured in 12 points on 4-of-7 shooting. Johnson also had six boards and three blocks in the loss.

Bethel returns to the hardwood Saturday, when they welcome Saint Benedict to the Robertson Center. The MIAC battle between the Blazers and Royals is scheduled for 3 p.m.
