MOORHEAD, Minn.—Bethel University's volleyball team won their third consecutive match Thursday night after defeating Concordia College on the road by a final score of 3-1. The Royals conference victory in Moorhead was not only their third straight, but also the team's fifth victory in the last six contests. Bethel improved to 14-6 on the season and 4-2 in MIAC play, while Concordia dropped to 11-5 overall and 4-2 against conference opponents following Thursday night's results.

BU jumped out to a 2-0 lead after the opening two sets, but the Cobbers forced a fourth game with a narrow 27-25 victory in the third frame. Bethel then left no doubt in the fourth when defeating Concordia 25-13. The Royals nearly overcame their third-set deficit, as they tied the score at 25-25 after trailing 18-23, but the Cobbers closed out the game with two quick points.

Bethel finished the competition with 59 points on 49 kills, four aces, and six blocks. Three players tallied double-digit kills, including
Tegan LaBerge (13),
Kristin Stern (11), and
Carlee Hoppe (11).Â
Tegan LaBerge and
Nicole Deberry each finished with four block assists.

Katie Lubben led all players with 26 assists, while teammate
Mikayla Morrow added 18.
Kali Johnson recorded 20 digs, while
Carlee Hoppe and
Tina Hoppe logged 16 and 12 digs, respectively.
Concordia's Olivia Wangensteen posted 12 kills and 17 assists.

Bethel travels to Northfield Wednesday night to face St. Olaf College before they travel to La Crosse, Wis., the following weekend for the UW-La Crosse Tournament. First serve between the Royals and Oles is scheduled for 7 p.m.
