ARDEN HILLS, Minn. – The stage is set for an exciting matchup in week four between the Bethel University Royals and the Augsburg College Auggies, as each team comes into the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic College (MIAC) contest with an undefeated record. The Royals, who are 3-0 (1-0 MIAC) will be traveling to Minneapolis to take on the Auggies, who stand at 3-0 (2-0 MIAC) as well.
Perhaps one of the most memorable finishes so far this season, Augsburg defeated Gustavus in its first conference game of the season on a 46-yard Hail Mary with time expiring that gave Augsburg a 26-24 win over the Gusties. The Auggies followed it up with a decisive 48-24 victory over Hamline University the ensuing weekend.
The Royals enter Saturday ranked No. 7 in the latest American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Coaches Top 25 Poll and look to make it 2-0 in league play. After a first week bye, followed by two nonconference wins and a 52-14 victory over Carleton, Bethel puts its undefeated record to the test on the road this weekend.
