ARDEN HILLS, Minn. - There is quite a buzz on campus at Bethel University this week. Not only is it homecoming week, this Saturday marks for quite a battle on the gridiron. The Royals who sit at 4-0 (2-0 MIAC) will host the Concordia College Cobbers on Saturday afternoon in a crucial conference matchup at Royal Stadium. The Cobbers are also off to hot start and come in with the same record as their counterparts. This is the first time the Cobbers have gotten off to a 4-0 start since 2005.
The Royals are coming off an exciting win in their first conference road game last week, as they defeated the Auggies of Augsburg College by a final score of 21-20. The Cobbers enjoyed a bye week last weekend and have had two weeks to prepare for this weekends matchup.
Bethel will enter Saturday's league game ranked No. 7 in the latest American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Coaches Top 25 Poll. The Cobbers are also featured in the same poll and have climbed a ranking, moving to number No. 23 in the latest poll. This is the third straight weekend the Royals will face an opponent who has yet to be defeated.
