ARDEN HILLS, Minn. - Despite playing two extra periods the Royals couldn't break the 0-0 tie with Northwestern on Monday. That marks the first time this season that Bethel has ended a game scoreless. With the tie the Royals are now 6-1-2, while the Eagles go to 3-5-1.
Despite the two teams combining for a total of 12 shots on goal neither found the net as both Bethel's
Leif Sundberg and Northwesterns Eric Bocan recorded shutouts.
Jeremy Kim (Jr., Blaine, Minn.) continued to lead the way for the Royals on offense as he had six shots in the match. Kolten Fisher (So., Shoreview, Minn.) and
Brent Neihart (Jr. Prairie Village, Kan.) each had two a piece.
The Bethel men's next game is on Saturday against UW-Superior. The time and location of the competition have change to Public School Stadium in Duluth, with a start time of 7 p.m.
