Sept. 14, 2011

Royals unable to stop Augsburg offense losing 7-1
BOX SCORE

ARDEN HILLS, Minn. - The Men's Soccer team had a rough start as they opened MIAC play against Augsburg on Wednesday. The Auggies improved their record to 2-0-1 as they downed Bethel 7-1. The Royals record drops to 4-1-1 on the year.

The Auggies didn't waste any time getting things started as they put 5 goals on the board in the first half. The Royals had a difficult time getting any offense going as Augsburg out them 30-7, controling the ball most of the game.

Bethel did put score on another David Kim (Jr., Blaine, Minn.) goal, to break the shutout. Kim's goal was set up thanks to an assist by Kolten Fisher (So., Shoreview, Minn.).

The Royals will look to get things back on track on Saturday when they drive down Snelling avenue to take on Hamline University.
